Food and Drink Checklist
Will you be selling cans in the ground?
Yes, we have new machines at the Cooper Associates County Ground that removes the top of the cans, making them sellable. This will be used with the aim to speed up queue times during peak periods.
A can is an enclosed drinks receptacle. If you were to throw a closed can, or a can with just the ring pulled, the liquid inside is unlikely to come out at any real pace so it is seen to be a missile. A full or partial can would cause injury if it struck another person when thrown.
If the can has the top removed (as per our new machines), it essentially becomes a cup. If this were to be thrown, the liquid would escape rapidly so the risk of injury would be minimal.
Bag Searches
In the interest of safety, Somerset County Cricket Club reserves the right to check and search all bags on entry to the Cooper Associates County Ground. Items which are prohibited or seen as being dangerous to players or supporters will be confiscated and returned the owner at close of play. Bags must not be left unattended and we also reserve the right to perform on the spot checks on bags once you are in the Ground.Â
Prohibited Items
Bottles, glasses, banners, flags, weapons, or other similar articles (other than those approved by the Club) are not permitted and the Police and the Club Stewards shall have the right to confiscate any such articles, which at their absolute discretion they may consider could be a danger or insulting to other spectators.
The throwing or discharging of missiles is strictly forbidden.

Food
Please note that whilst there is a huge range of food options within the Cooper Associates County Ground on a matchday, supporters are entitled to bring their own food into the ground on all matchdays. Please note that bag searches are in operation and any sharp objects such as knives will be confiscated.
