Welcome to Somerset County Cricket Club!

In this guide, you will find everything you might require to make the most of your visit to the Cooper Associates County Ground. Please check out the tabs above including our new “A-Z” of the ground. We hope you have a fantastic visit!

Somerset CCC x Busses of Somerset

Somerset County Cricket Club have teamed up with Busses of Somerset to offer supporters exclusive transport offers this summer!

  • FirstBus offer a £1 single fare from anywhere within Taunton. Beating parking and driving on cost.
  • If travelling from outside Taunton, you can get to the ground for just £2 each way.
  • Our First Bus app can help customers buy their tickets, plan their journey and live track their bus.
  • You can get to the ground on services 1, 2, 25 and 28 via Rail Station Bridge

 

Getting to THE ground

Before you set off for your match day, make sure you consider a number of options before you travel. Have you planned your journey thoroughly? When visiting the Cooper Associates County Ground, be sure to check train times, possible road delays and taxi costs to and from the ground to ensure your route is as smooth as possible.

Transport

The Cooper Associates County Ground is located in the centre of Taunton with fantastic links to road and rail networks.

  • By Road

    At Junction 25, take the A358 Exit to Taunton/ Yeovil. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit (south) or 3rd exit (north) onto the A358 heading to Taunton/ A38/ Minehead, continuing straight onto Toneway/ A358. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Priory Avenue and the Cooper Associates County Ground will be on your left.

  • By Rail

    Taunton Train Station is a ten minute walk from the Cooper Associates County Ground. As you leave the Station, turn left into Station Road, heading towards the Town Centre. Turn left onto Priory Bridge Road, and the Cooper Associates County Ground will be on your right. 

  • By Bus

    There are several bus services that stop within Taunton town centre, the majority of these are just a short walk from the Cooper Associates County Ground, which is clearly signposted throughout the town.  

On Site Parking

Unfortunately we are not able to offer public car parking during any home fixture at the Cooper Associates County Ground. The car parks can be used pay and display on all non-match days, and are operated using number plate recognition.

Accessible Car Parking

  • We have a limited number of disabled car parking spaces at the Cooper Associates County Ground available for Somerset Members on a matchday.
  • 1875 Club and Long Room Members can also book parking for County Championship matches.
  • Please note that parking within the Cooper Associates County Ground is extremely limited, and parking will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
  • The online portal provides blue badge holders with the quickest and most efficient opportunity of securing a parking space. This can be accessed by visiting the following Members portal www.members.somersetcountycc.co.uk
  • Car parking bookings will open at 10am two weeks before each matchday.
  • If you are successful in securing a space, you will need to complete the online payment in advance
  • The cost of booking is £10 per day for blue badge holders. The cost of booking is also £10 per day for 1875 Club and Long Room Members.
  • On arrival you will need to present your Membership card AND your pre-booked parking ticket to gain access to the Cooper Associates County Ground.
  • Parking will be in the St James Street and Priory Bridge Road car parks.
  • Vehicles will be allowed to enter the ground between 9:30am and 9:55am.
  • No vehicle movement will be permitted between 9:55am and 11:30am or during the lunch and tea intervals.
  • Vehicles can come and go outside of the above times between 11:30am and 6pm.
  • Vehicles will be held within the ground for a minimum of 15 minutes after the close of play to allow for the safe exit of pedestrians.

Public Car Parking

There are a number of public car parks situated in Taunton. We would recommend the car park on Cannon Street to park on matchdays. It is worth referencing a new car park also at Taunton Train station has been recently opened.

Taxis

Taxis to the Taunton train station from the Cooper Associates County Ground would cost less than £5 and would take around 5 minutes.
