Allocated seating only applies to Vitality Blast matches and Women’s International fixtures. This is to ensure that our busiest fixtures can take place in an enjoyable and safe manner.

How are my tickets delivered once purchased?

For the 2024 season, supporters can select 2 different delivery methods when purchasing tickets. You can either retrieve an e-ticket from your online account or have the ticket sent to the SCCC Tickets App on your mobile phone. E-tickets can be printed and scanned in on the gates.

2024 will see Somerset County Cricket Club adopt a paperless ticketing model.

The sole use of E-tickets or the use of the SCCC Ticketing App will reduce the environmental cost, drive efficiencies within the business, and increase security for our ticket purchasers.

The paperless system, which has been adopted by the vast majority of major sporting organisations and stadia within the UK, will make transactions easier as well as helping to reduce costs and wastages. It also helps to eliminate the possibility of ticket buyers falling foul of fraud and corruption by ensuring that our supporters are not exposed to overpriced counterfeit tickets or costly mark-ups on secondary ticketing websites.

By eliminating the need for physical ticketing, digital tickets contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing paper waste, energy consumption and carbon emissions associated with traditional ticketing processes. This in turn enables the Club to become more cost effective by reducing expenditure on ticket printing and distribution.

How do I download my e-tickets?

If you select e-tickets as your delivery method, you will need to log into your online account on this website.

Please login to your online account and download your tickets. They will NOT be sent via email.

FAQs

Do you take cash at the Cooper Associates County Ground?

Somerset County Cricket Club are reminding Members and supporters that the Cooper Associates County Ground is now a cashless venue.

There are several reasons why this decision has been taken:

Efficiency

Quicker payments result in reduced queues which means that you see more of the action. This equates to a better matchday experience for everyone in the ground.

Contactless payments can be completed in two seconds compared to the 15 seconds required for a cash transaction and eight seconds for a chip and pin transaction.

The time saved with card payments means our staff can be better focused on the speed of service and the needs of our customers. This should further enhance the matchday experience.

Reducing theft and fraud

Tap-to-pay technology is more reliable and secure than other forms of payment. The chip technology protects you against any fraudulent purchases through encryption and dynamic data technologies and means our Members and supporters can feel safe when attending a match at the Cooper Associates County Ground.

The Decline of Cash Payments

Across the country there has been a rapid decline in the use of cash over the last few years and this has been heightened with the global pandemic. It is forecast that cash will be used in fewer than 9% of payment transactions by 2028.

We are certain that the introduction of cashless payment will see improvements in respect of reduced queuing times and improving customer service on busy matchdays.

All major contactless credit and debit cards will be accepted as well as mobile, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are not permitted in the ground for Vitality Blast matches.

Well behaved dogs which are kept on leads may be brought into the public stands at the Cooper Associates County Ground for County Championship fixtures and One-Day Cup matches only

Owners must accept full responsibility for looking after their dog(s) and dog fouling is prohibited.  Only Guide / Working Dogs are permitted into buildings or kiosks where food is served. Please be aware that One-Day Cup matches can be extremely busy and this may not be the ideal environment for your dog.

How old to children have to to be in order to attend without an adult?

15-years-old

Can I re-enter the ground once through the gates?

For Vitality Blast matches, please note there is no re-entry once admitted into the venue.

Can I bring in Alcohol and Food to the cricket?

On County Championship match days a small amount of alcohol is permitted into the Cooper Associates County Ground. This equates to half a bottle of wine or 4 cans per person. Please note that this is for your first entry only. Please also note that wine must be put into a plastic container and beer/cider decanted into a plastic cup.

On Royal London Cup matches and Vitality Blast matches, alcohol will not be permitted into the Ground under any circumstances and a search for such items will take place on the entry to the Cooper Associates County Ground. Any alcohol brought into the Ground will be confiscated and destroyed.

Please also note that on Vitality Blast matchdays, cans of any type, both soft drink and alcohol, will not be permitted inside the ground and must be decanted before entry.

Does allocated seating apply to all matches?

No. Allocated seating only applies to Vitality Blast matches. This is to ensure that our busiest fixtures can take place in an enjoyable and safe manner. Please note that there is no allocated seating in Premium Member areas. Renovations and improvements are taking place to the Somerset Stand over the winter in order to increase capacity and improve the facility. Staff will contact anyone whose allocated seat is affected by this work. This schedule of work will mean that White-Ball and Platinum Members will not be able to renew their seat immediately, but don’t worry because your seat will be held.

Membership

FAQs

When does Membership go on sale?

To allow Members and/or future Members the opportunity to ask questions ‘face-to-face’ and to renew or join in person, Membership for 2023 will go on sale on Tuesday September 20th.

The earlier than normal on sale date, provides an opportunity for Members to pay for their Membership in six monthly instalments, from October to March. There will be no change to the ‘Early Bird’ arrangements, with the deadline remaining at February 1st, as in previous years.

As a reward for early renewal, we are offering an additional LV= Insurance County Championship guest pass to anyone taking out a 2023 Membership before October 26th.

How can I sign up?

Membership for the 2023 season is now on sale!

To make the experience of buying your Membership as easy as possible, our website’s Membership & Ticketing platform has been specifically designed to make buying your Membership a smooth and seamless process.

If you need any help using the online option, please email: enquiries@somersetcountycc.co.uk and someone will call you back to help navigate you through the process.

We understand that some Members prefer to talk with someone, and the Club has made arrangements to allow for this.  Given the volume of calls which may need to be dealt with, the quickest way to talk to someone is likely to be by emailing the Club and asking for someone to call you.

When will my Membership renewal pack arrive?

You will only receive a renewal pack if we do not currently have an email address for you linked to your Membership account.
If you receive this communication through the post, please advise us of your email address to ensure that you are added to the distribution list. You can do this by emailing enquiries@somersetcountycc.co.uk. Moving forward, the majority of our communications will be via email, and we don’t want you to miss out on important information.

How much will it cost?

Unfortunately, as the Chief Executive has outlined in his letter, your Club is not immune from the economic challenges facing businesses across the country.  Unfortunately, the club has had to factor in a Membership price increase across most categories.  To recognise the economic pressures on families, we have frozen Junior and Student prices, while offering an extended payment period of six months, for those who wish to pay by instalments.  To recognise your loyalty to the Club, in some cases over many years, there is a preferential rate for existing Members.

New for 2023 – Additional Benefits

We have introduced a raft of new benefits to reward and thank our Members for their continued support. These include six exclusive Members events throughout the year in addition to an Official 2023 Members Open Day. Members will also receive 10% off room hire on non-match days.

We will also be launching Somerset Rewards. This new initiative will see a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, health and leisure facilities, local independent shops, phone providers and many more offering discounts to our Members. Some of the region’s leading brands and organisations have signed up to the scheme and it is our ‘thank you’ to you for showing your support for the 2023 season.
