Join our Catering Team for an unmissable summer at the Cooper Associates County Ground!
We cater for a number of different events through the year ranging from corporate and private meeting & events to the absolutely enthralling match days over the course of the year. With a variety of Food & Beverage outlets to choose from, it is an outstanding venue that offers attendees a fun day out.
We are looking for a customer focused casual events assistant to join our team at one of our prestigious client locations in Taunton.

Duties to include:
• Assist in the setup of event spaces, including arranging seating, setting up equipment, and preparing the venue for the event.
• Provide assistance to event attendees, including guiding them to their seats, answering basic questions, and offering general help.
• After events, participate in cleanup activities, which may include clearing tables, removing debris, and restoring the venue to its original condition.
• Work collaboratively with other event staff, following instructions and contributing to the overall success of the event.
• Perform assigned tasks effectively and efficiently, adhering to safety guidelines and event protocols.
• Be prepared to take on various roles or assist in different areas of event operations as needed.You will have the following skills:
• Willingness to work on a casual basis, to support event operations.
• Reliable and punctual, arriving on time for assigned shifts.
• Capable of handling tasks that may involve heavy lifting ,and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work well as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Basic communication skills to understand and carry out tasks and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Willingness to take on various roles and responsibilities as needed during events.
• A customer-friendly attitude and a willingness to assist event attendees as required.
• Ideally Holds Health Safety Level & Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificates.Knowledge / competencies:
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.

Ready to get a behind-the-scenes look at a professional sports organisation?
 Our Work Inspiration Placements are designed for students in Year 10 who need to complete a week of work experience. But instead of simply watching from the sidelines, you’ll get the chance to explore different careers, develop new skills, and discover what it’s really like to work at Somerset County Cricket Club.
What can you expect?
During your placement, you’ll:

Important information
Work Inspiration Placements are very popular, and unfortunately, we can’t offer placements to everyone who applies.
- Applications open on 1 September and close on 15 December for placements taking place the following year.
- Applications received after the closing date won’t be considered.
- We can’t confirm placement dates until the year’s cricket fixtures have been finalised.
- We aim to let all applicants know whether they have been successful by early January.
