Archie Vaughan, born on December 9, 2005, in Sheffield, is an emerging English cricketer.
A right-handed batter and right-arm off-spin bowler, he developed his skills at Millfield School and progressed through Somerset’s youth system. In May 2024, Vaughan signed his first professional contract with Somerset.
He made his List A debut on July 26, 2024, against Kent in the One-Day Cup. His first-class debut followed on August 29, 2024, against Durham, where he took his maiden wicket with his sixth delivery. In his second first-class match, Vaughan delivered a remarkable performance, securing match figures of 11/140 against Surrey, contributing significantly to Somerset’s victory.
Vaughan has also represented England at the under-19 level, showcasing his potential as a future international player. His early achievements indicate a promising career ahead, blending batting prowess with effective off-spin bowling.
