Thomas signed his first rookie contract in 2025.
The 18-year-old, who made his First XI debut for the Club earlier this season in the Vitality Blast, put pen to paper on a contract which will run until at least the end of October 2027.
Thomas worked his way onto the Somerset Academy via the Somerset Emerging Player Programme, made his Second XI debut for the Club in 2023 and has gone on to captain England Under 19s.
He was named in the PCC Select XI last summer for their match against Zimbabwe and scored an unbeaten century in the second innings.
2025 saw Thomas make his full Somerset debut and he went on to feature in 10 Metro Bank One Day Cup matches and three Vitality Blast fixtures.
This winter he captained England Under 19s to second place in the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup.
