Bio
Sean Dickson, born on September 2, 1991, in Johannesburg, South Africa, is a right-handed top-order batter. He began his professional career with Northerns in South Africa during the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. In 2015, Dickson moved to England, joining Kent County Cricket Club, where he notably scored 318 runs against Northamptonshire in July 2017—the second-highest individual score in Kent’s history.
After a successful stint with Kent, he transferred to Durham in 2020, initially on loan before making a permanent move. In September 2022, it was announced that Dickson would join Somerset on a three-year deal starting from the 2023 season.
Throughout his career, Dickson has demonstrated consistent performance across formats, with over 5,300 first-class runs, including 14 centuries, and a top score of 318.
Initally signed as a red ball cricketer, Sean has shone in the 20 over arena. Being the standout batter on Finals Day in 2023 and 2024.
