Josh Thomas, born on January 11, 2005, in Taunton, Somerset, is an English cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Somerset County Cricket Club. A left-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler, he progressed through Somerset’s academy system, attending King’s College and playing club cricket for Taunton St Andrews.

Thomas made his List A debut on August 14, 2022, against Middlesex in the Royal London One-Day Cup.

In the 2023 Metro Bank One Day Cup, he delivered a standout performance, taking three wickets for 40 runs against Durham.

In September 2023, Thomas signed his first professional contract with Somerset, securing his place in the squad until at least the end of the 2025 season.

His consistent performances have also earned him recognition at the national level, representing England Under-19s.

As of August 2024, Thomas has played 15 List A matches, scoring 156 runs with an average of 19.50 and a top score of 54 not out. With the ball, he has taken six wickets, with best bowling figures of three for 40.
