Somerset won the toss and elected to bowl first.
After the first 10 overs, the hosts had reached 36 without loss and the 50-run opening partnership arrived in the 13th over.
Chloe Skelton was the bowler who made the initial breakthrough when Theertha Satish was caught and bowled for 17 in the 16th over with the score on 65.
Alex Griffiths was brought into the attack and struck with the fourth ball of her second over when she bowled Lavanya Keny (3) after the addition of just eight further runs to the total.
73 for two soon became 75 for three when Heena Hotchandani (0) was caught by Sophie Luff at mid on to give Olivia Barnes a wicket.
Despite wickets falling around her, Esha Oza kept her composure and brought up her half century from 75 balls in the 25th over.
UAE Cricket Women brought up their 100 in the 28th over when Rinitha Rajith swept Lola Harris to the deep backward square leg boundary for four.
Rijith moved to 32 before being run out by Ellie Anderson at 158 for four, and Oza departed 10 runs short of her century when she fell in similar fashion, this time by a combination of Barnes and Luff to leave the hosts on 160 for five in the 38th over.
Keziah Sabin (1) was then run out courtesy of Griffith’s throw from extra cover which enabled Jess Hazell to remove the bails, and when Mollie Robbins took a great catch at at cow corner to remove Udeni Kuruppuarachchi off the bowling of Harris, UAE Cricket Women were 177 for seven in the 43rd over.
Anderson then trapped Vaishnave Mahesh lbw for two at 182 for eight off the second ball of the following over.
Griffiths claimed the final two wickets as the hosts posted a total of 211 all out from their allotted overs. The Welsh seamer was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three for 34 from her eight overs.
Chasing 212 for victory, Somerset suffered an early setback when Hazell was trapped lbw by Indhuja Nandakumar for two off the final ball of the opening over with just three runs on the board.
That became 11 for two when Emma Corney was caught by Mahesh of the bowling of Sashikala Silva for seven.
Luff and Wilson then began to rebuild and brought up the Somerset 50 in the 15th over.
The pair shared a third wicket stand of 92 before the Somerset skipper was caught at mid on by Rajith off the bowling of Oza for 36.
Wilson and Katie Jones advanced the score to 140 before the latter fell for 16, bowled by Suraksha Kotte off the last ball of the 30th over, at 140 for four.
World Cup winner Wilson continued to accumulate runs in impressive fashion and brought up her 100 from 104 balls with a boundary to fine leg.
