Sophie, Niamh and Liv selected in The Hundred
Somerset Captain, Sophie Luff has been called into the Trent Rockets squad for this year’s edition of The Hundred in place of Ailsa Lister.
Elsewhere, the eight teams in the competition completed their playing squads for the new season today via the Vitality Wildcard Draft.
The Vitality Wildcard Draft is designed to offer teams the chance to reward good form in the Vitality Blast men’s and women’s competitions, and sees 32 men’s and women’s players picked across the eight men’s and women’s squads to occupy the last two squad spots.
Niamh Holland will represent Welsh Fire this summer, with Liv Barnes joining London Spirit.
All three players have excelled for Somerset so far during this season’s Vitality Blast.
Sophie has scored 251 runs in her six matches at an average of 50.20 with a best of 82 not out.
Niamh has amassed 123 runs with a best of 42 and taken nine wickets at an average of 14.22 with a best of four for 21.
Liv has taken nine wickets in her six matches at an average 16 with a best of three for 19.
