Injury setback for Dani
Somerset all-rounder Dani Gibson has returned home from the England Women A tour of Australia after scans revealed a stress fracture in her back.
Dani, who has been suffering with back pain, had a scan in Sydney and has now returned to the UK for further reviews before starting her rehabilitation with ECB and Somerset medical teams.
Essex’s Eva Gray will join the four-day England Women A squad as a replacement for Gibson. Gray will fly to Australia at the conclusion of Essex’s pre-season tour of Abu Dhabi.
