Heather returns to London Spirit

Somerset’s Heather Knight will once again represent London Spirit in The Hundred.

The England Captain will line up for Spirit in 2025 after they utilised their right to match option in today’s player draft.

Heather, who captained Spirit to the title last summer, has featured in 23 matches in the competition, scoring 597 runs at an average of 33.16.

Heather joins Somerset teammates Charlie Dean and Dani Gibson who were announced by London Spirit on February’s deadline day. Somerset’s Amanda-Jade Wellington was also a deadline day announcement for Oval Invincibles.

In the men’s draft Lewis Gregory was selected by Manchester Originals, whilst Riley Meredith was picked up by Welsh Fire.

On February’s deadline day it was announced that Will Smeed will play for Birmingham Phoenix, Craig Overton will represent Southern Brave, Tom Banton will feature for Trent Rockets whilst Welsh Fire have retained Tom Abell and Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

The Hundred squads are now almost complete with May’s Vitality Wildcard Draft a final opportunity to add two further players.
