2025 was supposed to be a special year for Emma Corney.
After achieving her dream of becoming a professional cricketer for the Club that she supported as a child, she was riding the crest of a wave.
Her professional career couldn’t have begun in more impressive fashion. A half century in Somerset’s opening day win against Surrey cemented her place at the top of Somerset’s batting order.
Unfortunately, less than two months later she suffered a horrific injury which jeopardized everything that she had strived so hard for.
