Ellie and Liv support charity walk

The recent “Orange The World” walk through Taunton was supported by Somerset cricketers Ellie Anderson and Liv Barnes.

The event was arranged by the International Inner Wheel to raise awareness of gender-based violence around the world.

Almost 50 people walked through Taunton town centre after starting at the Coffee Station in Vivary Park. The walk concluded at the Cooper Associates County Ground, the home of Somerset County Cricket Club.

In addition to the Taunton Inner Wheel there were representatives from Taunton Minster, The Soroptomists, Inner Wheel of Mendip, Taunton Vale Inner Wheel, The Mothers Union and several members of the public.

Marlene Ewens, one of the organisers, said: “We had a very good array of people from a wide range of organisations, and during the course of the walk we handed out leaflets highlighting the issue.

“We were very pleased with the turnout and would like to thank everyone who joined us, especially the Somerset cricketers.”
