Dani, Bex and Ellie selected in The Hundred auction
Somerset’s Dani Gibson, Bex Odgers and Ellie Anderson were selected in the inaugural auction for The Hundred which was held at Piccadilly Lights in London.
Dani joined Sunrisers Leeds for £190,000, the biggest deal for an English player.
After becoming the highest paid English player in the competition, Dani said: “I’ve had to try have a cold shower to calm down! I’m absolutely buzzing, really excited to be with the SunRisers. I’m excited for it to start, it feels ages away but hopefully it’ll come round quick.”
“We flew to South Africa today and I was chill for the whole flight but as soon as I turned the TV on I was pretty nervous waiting for my name to come out. I was shaking! When the bidding war was happening I was just like ‘what is happening now? This is crazy!'”
Bex and Ellie were both selected by Southern Brave at the £15,000 level.
