Who’s going where this winter?
It will be a busy off-season for several Somerset players.
Members of both the Men’s and Women’s squads will be plying their trade overseas this winter, so here is a brief overview of who is going where.
The Ashes
Shoaib Bashir has been named in the England squad for the Ashes series against Australia.
The five-match series begins in November.
England Lions
James and Thomas Rew have been named in the 18-player England Lions squad which has been named for this winter’s tour of Australia.
The squad will assemble in Australia in early November ahead of matches in Perth, Canberra and Brisbane.
International League T20
Tom Abell will be playing in the ILT20, which begins in December. He will be representing the Sharjah Warriors after being picked as a Wild Card for the tournament.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore was retained by Sharjah Warriors, whilst James Rew was named as an auction signing.
Tom Banton will also feature in the tournament and will line up for MI Emirates.

SA20
Lewis Gregory will feature for Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20 which runs from December 26th to January 25th. Will Smeed is also a member of their squad.
Craig Overton will play for the Pretoria Capitals in the tournament.
Australia
Tom Lammonby, Archie Vaughan and Kian Roberts will be playing club cricket in Australia this winter.
Chloe Skelton and Alex Griffiths will be playing for Parramatta CC, whilst Ellie Anderson will line up for Bankstown.
South Africa
Josh Thomas will be playing club cricket in South Africa this winter.
