TEAM NEWS

Somerset have named the following 13-player squad for the match: Lewis Gregory, Tom Lammonby, Sean Dickson, Tom Abell, James Rew, Lewis Goldsworthy, Ben Green, Craig Overton, Kasey Aldridge, Josh Davey, Jake Ball, Ned Leonard and Shoaib Bashir.

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the match, Somerset Head Coach, Jason Kerr said: “Following on from a brilliant two weeks in Abu Dhabi, we need a bit of time in English conditions so hopefully the weather will hold. This is our only pre-season fixture so we will be taking it extremely seriously.

“With the weather being as it is we will need a little bit of flexibility regarding the 11 players on the field. We can’t predict how the game will go and I believe that University of Exeter will be bringing a large squad so we will be looking to utilize the squad as we best see fit.

“We can’t control the weather but we can maximize the opportunities that we have, whether that be one day, two days or three days.  Whatever overs we get will be valuable ahead of our first County Championship game next week.”
