It was a particularly productive weekend for George Bartlett.

George is currently in Australia playing for Fremantle and he put in a fine display to score 112 as his side amassed 467 for four from 90 overs of their first innings against Joondalup. He scored 11 fours and three sixes and shared a partnership of 229 runs with San Whiteman.

George followed that performance by claiming a winners medal in the Premier T20 competition as Fremantle overcame Subiaco-Floreat in the final to lift the trophy after a two-wicket victory with two balls to spare.

Craig Overton made his debut for MI Emirates in the International League T20 competition at the weekend.

The 28-year-old impressed with the ball, claiming one for 14 from his four overs. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to prevent his side from slipping to defeat against Dubai Capitals.

In the same competition, Tom Kohler-Cadmore was once again in the runs. The new Somerset batter made 46 in Sharjah Warriors defeat against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. He is currently the fourth highest run scorer in the tournament with 323 runs at an average of 40.37 with a strike rate of 158.33.

Elsewhere, James Rew has been named in the England U19 side to take on their Australian counterparts in the second Youth Test in Brisbane.
