Jack joins Notts Outlaws on loan

Somerset bowler Jack Brooks has joined Notts Outlaws on a 14-day Vitality Blast loan.

The 38-year-old seamer will join the Trent Bridge outfit in time for their Vitality Blast opener against Derbyshire Falcons on Friday May 26th and will be eligible for selection for the Outlaws T20 fixtures up to and including Thursday June 8th.

Jack joined Somerset in 2019 and has claimed over 100 wickets for the County since his arrival.

Regarding the deal, Somerset Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry said: “As we stated recently when Jack joined Worcestershire on a short-term loan deal, we believe that it’s key for him to be playing high quality competitive cricket despite opportunities being limited for him here at present”.

“This move to Notts will enable him to continue to play competitive First XI cricket ahead of his anticipated return to us in June, a scenario that benefits Jack, Notts and ourselves, and we very much look forward to seeing him on his return.”
