George helps Fremantle to T20 win
Somerset all rounder, George Thomas will be spending the winter in Australia playing for Fremantle District Cricket Club.
The 19-year-old, who made his Somerset debut in 2021, played an important role as his side overcame Rockingham-Mandurah in Round Two of the Premier T20 competition at Stevens Reserve this weekend.
George claimed one for 13 from three overs and a catch as Rockingham-Mandurah were restricted to 112 for nine from their 20 overs.
Opening the batting, George top scored with 40 as Fremantle reached their target for the loss of just three wickets with two overs to spare.
George also played for the Frematle Colts earlier in the day against the same opposition in the Under 21 T20 competition. He was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three for 22 from his four overs as Rockingham-Mandurah Colts made 142 for nine from their allotted overs.
Frematle Colts won by seven wickets with nine balls to spare.
