Ben joins Leicestershire on loan
Somerset allrounder, Ben Green will join Leicestershire on a short-term loan.
The 26-year-old will be available for the Foxes between April 18th and May 7th, making him available for selection for the next three rounds of Vitality County Championship matches.
Somerset Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry believes that the move will be beneficial for all concerned. “It’s a long season and we have a squad all competing for First XI selection,” he explained. “That means that not everyone can get as much First XI game time as they or we would like at any one time. It’s important for as many of our players as possible to be playing competitive cricket at the highest level available, and we feel that this opportunity best meets all parties’ interests and will benefit Ben and the Club.
“We look forward to welcoming Ben back to the Cooper Associates County Ground in May, and to him playing an important role for us as the season progresses.”
