Zach Vukusic joins the Somerset Academy

17-year-old all rounder Zach Vukusic has joined the Somerset Academy.

Zach, who was born in Exeter, is a right-handed batter and right-arm fast-medium bowler who attends King’s College, Taunton where he is currently in the Lower Sixth form.

He has played his way through the Devon age groups and represented the County at Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 level before making his First XI debut in the National Counties T20 competition earlier this season.

Last year, as an Under 16, Zach scored a century playing for Exeter in the Devon Premier League against Bovey Tracey.

In July 2024, Zach represented Croatia in four T20 matches and later that summer made his debut for Somerset in the Second XI Championship,.

Earlier this season Zach played for Somerset in their T20 match against Devon at Exmouth, hitting an unbeaten 19 off five balls. Since when he has played in a further three T20 matches.

“I feel incredibly privileged to have been invited to join the Somerset Academy,” Zach said. “This opportunity wouldn’t have been possible without the outstanding guidance and support I’ve received from my school coaches, the dedicated coaches and managers at Exeter CC and throughout the Devon County Age Group teams over the years. I’m very grateful for all they’ve done to support and shape my development as a young cricketer.
