As part of our 2026 Membership campaign we will be recognising the SCCC Members who embody what Somerset County Cricket Club is all about.

TODAY’S WINNER IS…
BODHI!
Many Somerset supporters will remember Bodhi, who was something of a lucky charm as the Club lifted the Vitality Blast trophy in 2023.
We first met Bodhi at Musgrove Park Hospital’s Children’s Ward when we launched our 2023 Vitality Blast shirts. The five-year-old was receiving treatment for T cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Since that day, Bodhi has been a regular visitor the Somerset matches, has kept in touch with several of the players and even joined in the celebrations when Somerset lifted the Vitality Blast trophy at Edgbaston two years ago.
Bodhi also visited the first team earlier this year to tell them the good news that he had completed his treatment.
He was present at Edgbaston again for this year’s final, wore all of his 2023 lucky gear and even took the match ball out for the final, once again proving to be Somerset’s lucky charm!
“The support from the Club has been brilliant,” said Bodhi’s mum Alice. “He feels a little bit like he’s famous, which has had such a positive effect on him. That’s been such a big part of the recovery process and it was lovely for us to feel like a part of something. Having things to look forward to, like coming to the cricket or meeting with the players behind the scenes was so important. It made him feel special and was such a boost for him.
“It’s been Bodhi’s fight, but we’ve all been there as a part of it. Now we’re enjoying being a normal family and spending some time together without hospital visits or intrusive medical procedures.”
