Episode 4 – Mustafa Shaikh
Mustafa Shaikh is no stranger to the Somerset Cricket Family and has a long-standing affiliation with the sport and the county dating back to the early 1980s.
Mustafa has undertaken a number of roles over the years with Somerset Cricket Club and Somerset Cricket Board and is now Somerset Cricket Foundation’s Community Activation Officer.
He has a passion for using cricket as a medium to impact positively on the lives of people in the Somerset community and increase participation and inclusivity.
One of his main priorities within his current role has been to develop connections with the diverse communities across the county as part of the wider Somerset EDI strategy. The main driver here is to develop meaningful partnerships with various stakeholders in the community and evolve exciting projects which develop and share the vision of the Club and the Foundation.

County partnerships
During the 2026 season, full Somerset Members are able to watch free County Championship cricket at the following grounds on production of their Membership cards: Essex, Glamorgan, Hampshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Sussex, Yorkshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Please note, this is not valid for games in which Somerset are participating.
