WPA increase their involvement with Somerset CCC
Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to be able to announce that we have once again extended our partnership with health insurer, WPA.
Already the biggest commercial relationship in the history of Somerset CCC, WPA Health Insurance will be expanding their partnership to encompass Somerset Women from 2025.
As part of the agreement, WPA’s branding will appear on the collar and sleeve of the Women’s Metro Bank One Day Cup shirt. They will also be the Official Live Stream Partner for the Women’s 50-over competition. In addition, the WPA logo also adorns the Somerset Women training kit.
A local business through and through, WPA have been based in the South West for over 120 years and are a specialist UK not-for-profit health insurer offering award-winning health insurance solutions to individuals, families and companies of all sizes.
In addition to their support of the women’s game, the WPA logo will once again feature prominently on the front of Somerset Men’s County Championship shirt, and they will also continue to provide our Members and supporters with a comprehensive viewing experience as our Official Live Stream Partner for the Men’s Metro Bank One Day Cup and the Rothesay County Championship.
Regarding the extension of the partnership, SCCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert said: “We are absolutely delighted to have extended our partnership with WPA to encompass the newly formed professional Somerset Women.
“WPA previously worked alongside us to partner with Western Storm, and they have a genuine passion for the promotion and development of the women’s game.
“2025 is a big year for women’s cricket, and with the support of organisations like WPA Health Insurance, we will do everything we can to ensure that Somerset Women are successful both on and off the field.
“Over the last few years, our relationship with the team at WPA has gone from strength to strength and this will only work to solidify our outstanding partnership.”
Mark Southern, WPA’s Sales and Marketing Director, added: “It has been a privilege for us to witness the remarkable growth of women’s cricket in recent years through our sponsorship of the Western Storm team.
“When we learned that Somerset had secured a Tier 1 women’s side for the upcoming season, continuing our support was an easy call. We’re excited to stand with the women’s team alongside the men’s and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in this inaugural season.”
