Winter Wonderland Returns!
Somerset County Cricket Club, in conjunction with Best Events Ltd., are pleased to be able to announce the return of Winter Wonderland to the Cooper Associates County Ground in 2026.
The fabulous festive feast of fun will run from Friday November 20th to Thursday December 24th and will be bigger and better than ever.
Building on the success of 2025’s Winter Wonderland and taking on board feedback, the event will be structured in a slightly different format this winter with attractions covering both sides of the venue.
Winter Wonderland 2026 will include:
- A bigger covered real ice skating rink
- An ‘Apres Winter’ Bar
- Santa’s grotto
- Seasonal food stalls
- More fairground rides
- New unlimited ride packages
- … and much more!
Once again, entry to Winter Wonderland is free of charge and payment for fairground rides is via Twinkle Tokens which can be purchased on the day.
In addition to being a fantastic family attraction, Winter Wonderland will once again provide a genuine boost to the local economy whilst also benefiting young people and the local community, as Somerset CCC CEO, Jamie Cox explains: “Last year’s Winter Wonderland proved to be a hugely popular event which brought a lot of people to the town. We’ve taken on board all feedback received in 2025 to ensure that this year’s Winter Wonderland will be better than ever.
“The new and improved pedestrian links from Taunton Station meant that access to the event and to the town itself, particularly via the Taunton Independent Quarter, helped to ensure that more people than ever were able to access the venue and therefore the festive fun!
“As well as bringing people to Taunton, Best Events employed local people and helped to create a tremendous event which enabled us to help give something back to the wonderful community which we call our home.”
Francesca Stokes from Best Events Ltd. added: “We’re really thankful that Somerset County Cricket Club is being used for the event. We’re happy that they could see what we were dreaming of and have put their faith in us. The response we’ve had so far has been overwhelming; it’s brilliant.”
