Somerset Women: University of Exeter & Storm Academy T20s cancelled
Due to the recent poor weather, Somerset Women’s pre-season friendly T20 matches this weekend have been cancelled.
Somerset were due to take on University of Exeter and Western Storm Academy on Sunday at Topsham CC, but the wet weather has meant that these fixtures will not be able to take place.
Somerset will now get their season underway with a 50-over match against Cornwall on Sunday April 21st.
This summer will see the team playing both T20 and 50-over cricket, with the season starting in April and finishing in August.
There will be a national element to the T20 competition this year, whilst there will also be additional focus on 50-over cricket.
Many of the venues are yet to be confirmed but we are delighted to be able to announce that the 50-over debry match against Gloucestershire will be held at the Cooper Associates County Ground on Sunday July 14th.
