Somerset Vitality Blast Preview
The countdown to the 2026 Vitality Blast has begun, with fixtures now confirmed for both Somerset Men and Women.
Men’s Fixtures
After an unforgettable 2025 that saw Somerset Women make history and Somerset Men lift the Vitality Blast trophy at Edgbaston, excitement is already building for the season ahead.
Somerset will launch the defence of their men’s title in style with a repeat of last year’s final, welcoming Hampshire Hawks to the Cooper Associates County Ground on Friday May 22nd.
A packed summer of T20 action follows, including the highly anticipated home derby against Gloucestershire on Friday June 26th under the lights, with the return fixture in Bristol on June 5th.
Supporters can also look forward to home clashes against Glamorgan, Warwickshire Bears, Northants Steelbacks and Worcestershire Rapids, alongside a full schedule of away fixtures across the country as we aim to retain the title.
Women’s Fixtures
The women’s campaign begins with a home double-header against Hampshire Hawks on May 22nd, followed by exciting fixtures against Yorkshire, Lancashire Thunder, Surrey and Essex as the group stage builds towards a thrilling finale in July.
The revamped Vitality Blast will feature 61 double-headers across the season, placing greater emphasis on local rivalries and fan-friendly matchdays.
The group stage concludes during Finale Weekend (July 10th – July 12th), with Finals Day following soon after — Women’s Finals Day at the Kia Oval on July 17th and Men’s Finals Day at Edgbaston on July 18th.
