Somerset Leisure to take centre stage at the CACG

Somerset County Cricket Club are delighted to be able to announce a new and exciting partnership with Somerset Leisure.

This agreement will see Somerset Leisure become the sponsor of the main stage in our outstanding fan village this summer.

The Somerset Leisure Stage will host some of the very best local musical talent this season and will act as the focal point of ensuring that Somerset Members and supporters have the very best matchday experience possible.

As well as hosting live music throughout our Vitality Blast and Metro Bank One Day Cup fixtures, the Somerset Leisure Stage will feature the incredible China Bears as part of the first ever Somerset Introducing Music Festival on Tuesday August 26th.

Caroline Herbert, SCCC Commercial Director said: “We are really excited to be working with Somerset Leisure this summer. The fan village, and therefore the visitor experience, at our white-ball matches is getting bigger and better every year, and at the centre of that experience is the live music offering.

“Thanks to Somerset Leisure we will be able to bring a more diverse and eclectic mix of music and entertainment than ever before, and we can’t wait to see how this partnership develops.”

Henry Bigwood, Director at Somerset Leisure added: “We are delighted to partnering with Somerset County Cricket Club this summer. The Fan Village is an integral element of the matchday experience and it’s a pleasure to be a part of that this year. We are a local business, so to be able to associate with and help promote some of the region’s best musical talent is something that we are extremely proud of.”

Somerset Leisure is a family run business based in Brean, incorporating an array of leisure industries across the county. We offer a comprehensive range of services behind holiday accommodation catering to the various needs of holiday makers and caravan owners, including sales, service and storage.

In addition to The Somerset Leisure Stage, the company’s branding will also appear within the Cooper Associates County Ground on matchdays, and they will sponsor Somerset’s England spinner, Shoaib Bashir.
