Somerset CCC & Wollens support Children’s Hospice South West

Somerset County Cricket Club have teamed up with Wollens Solicitors to help raise money for a very worthy charity.

SCCC and Wollens, who are one of the Club’s Preferred Legal Partners, have worked together for a number of years, and a new element of this relationship in 2026 will see the two organisations coming together to support Children’s Hospice South West.

INTRODUCING THE WOLLENS O-ZONE CHALLENGE

The premise is simple, if any player hits the ball through the “O” of the Wollens advertising board at the Cooper Associates County Ground this year, Wollens will donate £1 for every run that is scored in that innings!

Regarding the initiative, Somerset CCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert said: “We are delighted to have strengthened our longstanding relationship with Wollens Solicitors and the new “Wollens O-Zone Challenge” perfectly captures the spirit of innovation, community and partnership that both organisations value so highly.

“This gives supporters another reason to cheer every boundary and every big innings throughout the season, while helping to raise valuable funds for a truly worthwhile cause. Somerset County Cricket Club is proud to work alongside Wollens to support a charity that provides vital care and support to children and families across the South West.”

Chris Hart, Chief Executive at Wollens, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our Preferred Legal Partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club for a third year. Our values and strong links to the local community are closely aligned, and this initiative is a great way to bring those to life.

“The Wollens O-Zone Challenge is a fun and engaging idea that we hope supporters will really get behind, while raising vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West and the incredible work they do supporting families across the region.”

Wollens have strong links to the region and are one of the largest independent law firms in the South West, employing over 160 people with exceptional specialists across private client matters as well as company and commercial law.
