Somerset secured a six-wicket win over Worcestershire in this Second XI T20 fixture at Taunton Vale Sports Club.
Somerset won the toss and elected to bowl.
Alfie Ogborne claimed a wicket with the third ball of the match and by the end of the powerplay the visitors were 63 for two. J Cooke (35) and H Cullen (68 not out) were the mainstays of the Worcestershire innings but a number of quick wickets, including three for Lewis Goldsworthy, helped to ensure that 81 for three soon became 110 for seven.
After their 20 overs the visitors had reached 151 for eight. Goldsworthy was the pick of the bowlers, claiming four for 17.
Goldsworthy then played his part with the bat, top scoring with 41 from 24 balls. He was well supported by George Bartlett (35 from 27 balls) and James Rew (30 not out from 21) as Somerset reached their target with eight balls to spare.
