SCCC seek Member Director expressions of interest
Ahead of the AGM, Somerset CCC are seeking expressions of interest from Members who wish to join the Club’s Board.
Within our skills-based and diverse Board, three roles are reserved specifically to be filled by individuals elected by our Membership and therefore, in accordance with Club Rules, SCCC is inviting Members to put themselves forward for consideration for two vacant positions.
2025 marks a pivotal year for the Club as we celebrate our 150th anniversary and see a professional women’s team take to the field for the first time. As a Members’ Club, it is vital that we maintain strong links between the Membership and the Board. It is crucial that we ensure all demographics are represented in order to safeguard our values and our integrity as an inclusive Club and employer.
It is important that the Board is balanced in terms of diversity, gender and race as well as skills, experience and expertise. We would especially welcome applications from any members with the following skillsets and expertise:
- Safeguarding
- People development and wellbeing
- Occupational health safety
- Property development and funding
- Legal
- Women’s cricket

- An up-to-date CV setting out your career history, with responsibilities and achievements and preferred contact details.
- A supporting statement outlining suitability for the role and the value that your expertise will add to Somerset CCC Board
- Details of two referees who can speak authoritatively about you together with a brief statement of the capacity and over what period of time they have known you. Referees will not be contacted without your prior consent.
