Pathway Update

There were a number of impressive performances during the recent Somerset Pathway matches.

For Somerset Under 15s, batter Wills House made 123 against Dorset and Jai Kumar claimed five for 29.

The match took place at Dorchester, and the visitors posted 290 for seven, House claiming his runs off 147 balls with 13 fours. During his time at the crease House added 80 for the first wicket with Bertie Michaels, who made 44 off 60 balls, and 155 for the second wicket with Sai Kollareddy, who made 84 from 67.

When Dorset replied they reached 217 for nine with Kumar being the pick of the bowers.

 

Somerset Under 18s were in ECB Cup action against Oxfordshire at Taunton Vale.

Batting first, the hosts posted 332 for eight from 50 overs of which opener Kian Roberts made 54 from 57 balls, Ben Mason hit 80 off 62, whilst Rice blasted 75 off 48 balls. During his time on the middle Rice took the score from 171 for five to 314 for six with Mason.

In reply, Oxfordshire were all out for 250 in 49 overs, with Rice claiming three for 29 from his 10 overs.

 

Somerset’s Under 13 travelled down to Werrington to play a match against their Cornwall counterparts. Batting first, Cornwall were dismissed for 93 in 35.3 overs, with Harry Emler taking four for 13 and William Herdman three for 11.

The visitors made light work of their reply and reached 94 for one in 17.1 overs thanks to Jack Perry, who made an unbeaten 38 from 54 balls, and Nicholas Watwon who ended not out 47 from 45 balls.
