Our top three Vitality Blast picks for 2026
2026 promises to be another incredible year for Vitality Blast cricket at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Somerset Men will be looking to become the first team ever to retain the title, whilst Somerset Women will be looking to claim their first major piece of silverware.

1 – Blast Off Double Header
On Friday May 22nd Somerset Men and Women take on their Hampshire counterparts in the opening T20 fixture of the summer.
The men will clash in a repeat of last year’s dramatic final, whilst the women begin their quest for a first Blast trophy.
The last time that Somerset and Hampshire Hawks met was in last year’s men’s final.

2 – The Big Local Derby
There’s nothing quite like a local rivalry in sport, and Somerset v Gloucestershire is as big as it gets in T20 cricket!
The two teams have won the last three Vitality Blast finals, and the supporters of both sides will be desperate to claim the local bragging rights under the lights on Friday June 26th.
To make the day even more appealing, Somerset Women take on Durham as part of this not-to-be-missed double header.
3 – Elite cricket and live music
Somerset Women take on Surrey at the Cooper Associates County Ground on Sunday June 28th.
