One week to go until Somerset Introducing Music Festival!
There is now just one week to go until the very first Somerset Introducing Music Festival.
Headlined by the brilliant China Bears, the event takes place on Tuesday August 26th and is a part of our Metro Bank One Day Cup clash against Northants Steelbacks.
As well as China Bears, Somerset Introducing will also feature a number of the region’s best up-and-coming acoustic talent.
CHINA BEARS
Originally formed in Somerset by twin brothers Ivan and Frazer (lead guitar), the China Bears line up was completed after meeting James (bass) and Dean (drums) at university in Guildford.
If melodic diligence counts for anything, China Bears are masters of their arty leftfield craft. Through a series of terrific tours and exquisitely-balanced EP releases ‘I’ve Never Met Anyone Like You’, ‘Statue Still’ and ‘All That Distance’, they have displayed an innate ability to blend the alt.rock rush with the acoustic hush.
Rousing and romantic, debut album ‘Participation Trophy’ feels cinematic in its grandeur, whilst also feeling incredibly personal in its storytelling.
From the driving ‘I Will Break My Own Heart’, the twinkling ‘Beck and Call’, the electric force of ‘Total Communication Breakdown’ to the blossoming ‘Gracie’, there is a song to accompany everyone’s own life soundtrack.
The festival line up also features some outstanding local music acts who will be performing throughout the day, so make sure that you don’t miss out on this brilliant celebration of both live elite sport and live music!

Mischa is an acoustic artist who plays a mixture of the old country classics by artists such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, as well as incorporating some blues and other well known songs from the 80’s.
She will also sing some originals.
