One Month to go until the Metro Bank One Day Cup!
There is now just one month to go until our first home Metro Bank One Day Cup match of the season!
Somerset’s affinity with this format of the game stems back to the Glory Years era which saw the Club win five trophies between 1979 and 1983.
It’s a competition that has also seen us taste success more recently in 2001 and 2019.
In addition to the incredible on-field action, each fixture is themed in order to ensure that our Members and supporters have the best matchday experience possible.
It really is the perfect day day out in Somerset!
Here is a breakdown of each matchday:
Friday July 24th – Somerset v Gloucestershire: Beer & Cider Festival
Our hugely popular annual matchday Beer & Cider Festival returns in 2026!
This year’s event will take place at our big Metro Bank One Day Cup derby against local rivals Gloucestershire.
A wide variety of tailored food options will also be available to purchase on the day.
Sunday July 26th – Somerset v Warwickshire: Family Day
Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to be able to announce the date of our annual Family Day fixture.
This year’s event will take place at our Metro Bank One Day Cup clash with Warwickshire.
Last year’s Family Day match sold out, so make sure you put the date in your diary now!

Friday August 7th – Somerset v Surrey: Somerset Introducing
The Somerset Introducing Music Festival will return this summer.
Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s Somerset Introducing will take place at our Metro Bank One Day Cup clash against Surrey.
This year’s headliners will be Supersonic Queen; the UK’s most dynamic Queen tribute.
The festival line up will also feature some outstanding local music acts who will be performing throughout the day, so make sure that you don’t miss out on this brilliant celebration of both live elite sport and live music!
Tuesday August 11th – Somerset v Lancashire: #YouAreSomerset Match
Following on from the announcements of the Beer & Cider fixture, the Family Fun Day fixture and the Somerset Introducing fixture, our fourth and final Metro Bank One Day Cup group stage matchday will see Somerset take on Lancashire in the #YouAreSomerset match.
What could be better than limited overs cricket during the summer holidays in Somerset?
