New Role for Kieran
Somerset CCC can today announce that Kieran Peters has been appointed as the Club’s Women’s Assistant Coach & Batting Lead.
Kieran takes up the position having previously held the role of Pathway Coach and Women & Girls Lead.
Regarding his new role, Kieran said: “I’m very excited to be continuing my journey with Somerset and I can’t wait to get going. I’m looking forward to helping Trevor wherever I can, but I’ll primarily be working with the batting group.
“There’s a great blend of experience and youth within the squad and there are certainly some exciting times ahead. I know a lot of the players already through my previous role and through working with Western Storm Academy.
“The women’s game is always evolving and it’s evolving quickly. A lot of people have been working really hard to get the Club to this position and there’s nowhere I’d rather be.”
Somerset Women Head Coach, Trevor Griffin added: “I’m delighted Kieran has joined us as our Assistant Coach & Batting Lead. He has a strong understanding of the women’s game and a depth of coaching knowledge from working in a number of different environments both here and abroad.
“Kieran has experience of working with some of our players in the past and has already shown his ability to build relationships and get to know each player. I’m excited to see where Kieran will take our batting group and look forward to supporting him in his career.”
