New and Improved Matchday Food & Drink
Somerset County Cricket Club have been working hard over the winter to ensure that the matchday experience is even better for our Members and supporters.
Our dedicated catering team will be implementing a number of new initiatives to improve the food and drink offering at the Cooper Associates County Ground in 2024.
This summer there will be:
- New and improved gluten free fish and chips from our revamped Great Catch Fish & Chip Bar
- Slushy machines. Kids slushies and adults Thatchers cider slushies
- Burts crisps and popcorn
- Fizzy Whizzy Woo providing sweets
- New and improved traditional Cornish pasties courtesy of Piglets Pantry specifically made for SCCC using our Chef’s special recipe
- A new range of pies and sausage rolls from Piglets Pantry including chicken balti pie, Red Leicester sausage roll plus sweet potato, spinach and coconut pie.
- A new partnership with Walls ice cream which will see the Club stocking 10 ranges including the new Magnum euphoria
- A new confectionary lineup from the Mars range
- Super sharing boxes for Vitality Blast and Metro Bank One Day Cup matches
Stragglers Coffee House will be serving:
- Bean-to-cup coffees
- Speciality teas and hot chocolates
- Grab-and-go sandwiches and salads
- Cakes
- Ice creams
- Confectionary
- Crisps
- Soft drinks
- Draught beers
Stragglers will also provide:
- A breakfast offering of bacon, egg and sausage baps
- Lunches consisting of paninis, pies, pasties, sausage rolls plus a hot daily special.
It’s not just the food offering that has been revamped.
2024 will also see:
- Tribute on keg rather than cask in our concessions for faster service and tastier ale
- New coffee made from different beans with new machines from Cafe Rico to allow for quicker service
- Luxury hot chocolates available from all concessions
The Club have also restructured the layouts of our concession units to improve efficiencies and queue times as well as investing in new signage to aid wayfinding.
