Michael Spiers Expand Partnership with Somerset CCC
There will be a new name on Somerset’s County Championship shirt this season.
Following an expansion of their partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club, the branding of Michael Spiers will appear on the collar of this year’s red-ball kit for the first time.
Starting life as a family-run shop in Looe, Cornwall, Michael Spiers has evolved into the leading independent jeweller and Swiss watch retailer in the South West.
The company has built a reputation founded on trust, craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to excellence, and has been a valued commercial partner of Somerset CCC for a number of years.
With showrooms in Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth and Truro, Michael Spiers is proud to be deeply rooted in the communities it serves. That commitment to making a positive local impact is reflected in its ongoing support of the Club’s Community Player of the Season Award, which recognises Somerset players who go above and beyond to support community initiatives throughout the year.
In addition, Michael Spiers supports the publication of the annual Official Somerset CCC Almanac. Their branding will also continue to feature prominently around the Cooper Associates County Ground, including on the electronic scoreboard on Gimblett’s Hill and on the Colin Atkinson Pavilion.
Somerset CCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert, is delighted that Michael Spiers have strengthened their partnership with the Club.
“As a market-leading company with a genuine passion for supporting the local community, Michael Spiers’ values align perfectly with those of Somerset County Cricket Club,” she said.
“They are a company that we have worked closely with for a number of years, and it’s fantastic to see the partnership continue to grow. Their ongoing support across a number of areas of the Club is hugely appreciated, and we are proud to be working together.”
Michael Spiers Managing Director, Adam Spiers added: “Supporting grassroots and professional sport across the South West has always been close to our hearts, and we are excited to deepen our partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club. As a family business with a strong history in the South West, we are honoured to support the clubs and communities which make our region such a special place.”
