Metro Bank One Day Cup Shirt Revealed

As part of the Our Region Rises campaign we will be launching each of this season’s playing shirts at a different landmark.

Brought to you in association with Kukri Sports and Higos Insurance, our Metro Bank One Day Cup shirt was revealed at Wells Cathedral.

The shirt features diagonal panels of overlaid black tints to create a stylish ‘blackout’ harlequin design.

The pattern is based on a diagram found in an early edition of Wisden that illustrates the length and pitch of some classic bowling deliveries (bouncer, yorker etc).

The ‘blackout’ design approach has been used successfully by a number of top sporting franchises. Its popularity is a result of adapting the first team shirt design to a more subtle black on black variation perfect for casual or social use.

The shirt also displays the Vertu Motors logo on the sleeve, Dafabet on the back and Paysan Breton on the collar.
