Legends match at Sidmouth to mark our 150th birthday
August 18th is the most important date in the history of Somerset County Cricket Club.
It was on that date in 1875 that the Club was founded following a match between The Gentlemen of Somerset and the Gentlemen of Devon at Sidmouth.
To mark the 150th anniversary of our founding day, a special match will be taking place at Sidmouth Cricket Club on August 18th this year.
The Men & Women of Somerset will take on The Men & Women of Sidmouth (Devon).
The Somerset team will be made up of SCCC legends including:
- Andy Caddick
- James Hildreth
- Jamie Cox
- Sophie Luff
More Somerset legends will be announced over the next few weeks!
The match will start at 5pm with gates opening at 4pm.
The event is open to all.
There will be no entry fee but donations will be welcomed.
In addition to the match, a number of exciting raffle prizes will be up for grabs.
