West Country Women Awards 2026
The Cooper Associates County Ground recently had the pleasure of hosting the West Country Women Awards 2026 Semi-Finalists.
It was great to see the Long Room filled with inspiring women, telling powerful stories, and making new connections.

Somerset County Cricket Club were delighted to join the West Country Women Awards in celebrating every woman nominated for a West Country Women Award this year. Each nomination recognises a story, an achievement and an impact worth celebrating.
West Country Women is about far more than just awards.
They are a growing community built to celebrate, support, and empower women across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, and the wider South West. Through their awards, training, events, networking, and community initiatives, they want women to feel recognised, encouraged, connected, and supported.
Their aim is simple — to create opportunities for women to grow in confidence, build meaningful connections, develop new skills, and be celebrated for everything they achieve both personally and professionally.
Champagne Afternoon Tea Party
The Long Room recently played host to a special Champagne Afternoon Tea Party.
Over 100 people were in attendance to enjoy the event and following the party, Lady Mary Stewart-Wilson, who organised the event said: “Everyone seemed to think it was the best tea party they had been to since childhood! Your staff were all so delightful and helpful and as for the Sandwiches and Cakes….. well, what a triumph!
“Please pass my congratulations on to your catering staff, the girls behind the champagne table, and the very helpful lady behind the tea bar.”
