Getting to know Wollens

Throughout the year, we will be introducing you to some of our valued Official Partners.

Today it’s the turn of Wollens.

Who are Wollens and what do you do?

At Wollens, we’re proud to be one of the largest independent law firms in the South West. With over 150 talented professionals on our team, we’re here to help with all your legal needs- whether personal or business-related.

From writing wills and handling probate to advising on complex corporate matters, we’ve got you covered. Our expertise has been recognised nationally, with awards including the Law Society’s Excellence in Private Client Practice and Law Firm of the Year at the Devon and Somerset Law Society Awards. We’re all about delivering Excellent Service, Every Team, Every Time.

Where are you based?

Our main office is in beautiful South Devon, and we also have offices based in Exeter and North Devon. This means we’re well-placed to support clients across the region – and beyond! In fact, we regularly work with clients across the UK and even internationally.

  • Financing and investment

We also have a dedicated Sports Law Division, offering tailored legal support to professional athletes, clubs, and governing bodies.

What is your connection with sports teams and what specialist services do you offer?

We’re passionate about sport and proud to support it at every level. We’re a preferred legal partner of Somerset County Cricket Club, Exeter City FC, Torquay United, and Yeovil Town FC. We also sponsor Edel McMahon, Ireland captain and Exeter Chiefs player.

Our sports law team helps with everything from contract negotiations and sponsorship deals to regulatory advice and dispute resolution. We’ve even worked at six Olympic Games, supporting media and arbitration efforts behind the scenes.

Why did you partner with Somerset County Cricket Club?

Our partnership with Somerset CCC is built on shared values – excellence, community, and long-term vision. Our CEO has long been involved with the Club, and we’ve supported them through corporate membership and advertising for many years.

In 2024, we took things a step further by becoming an official legal partner. We’re especially excited about the Club’s investment in youth development and the women’s game – goals that align closely with our own.

For us, it’s more than sponsorship. It’s about building meaningful relationships with clubs and communities that reflect who we are as a firm.

What services can you offer the SCCC fanbase?
