Getting to know Langford Vets
Who are Langford Vets and what do you do?
Langford Vets are the clinical teaching platform for the University of Bristol Veterinary School and provide both undergraduate and post graduate training for vet and veterinary nursing students. We achieve this by delivering the full spectrum of care to all species, in both first opinion and Diploma led Specialist referral settings – our students learn their professional clinical skills by spending time in our practices and seeing outstanding care being delivered every day.
In addition to Equine, Farm Animal and primary care Small Animal practices, we have state of the art diagnostic laboratories and the largest team of Diploma level Veterinary Specialists in the Southwest in our Small Animal Referral Hospital. These facilities, and the expertise of our teams enable us to deliver the very best clinical care and client service for referring vets, clients and their animals, 24 hours a day and every day of the year.
Where are you based?
We’re situated in a beautiful countryside location between Congresbury and Churchill in North Somerset, situated on the southern slopes of the Mendips, close to Cheddar Gorge with our Equine practice based in Wookey, near Wells.
Who do you work with?
We work with members of the public and first opinion practices across the Southwest of England. Langford Vet Practice is a first opinion practice for all small animals. We also have a farm practice and equine practices, allowing us to provide care to all species of animals. The Small Animal Referral Hospital is a Specialist-led multi-disciplinary Small Animal Referral Hospital offering outstanding care for dogs and cats in the Southwest and beyond.
