Craig Nominated for PCA Player of the Month
Somerset all rounder, Craig Overton has been Nominated for PCA Player of the Month
The PCA Player of the Month vote is now open for June with the eight highest performing players nominated across the men’s and women’s game.
The top four men’s and women’s domestic players have been revealed using the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, powered by OFX, with two prizes to be decided through your votes and the MVP.
Craig is nominated for a third consecutive month, highlighting his extraordinary summer so far.
Lancashire all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been in outstanding form and tops the men’s points table with 207.30, almost 50 points clear of second place. Surrey’s Dan Lawrence sits behind Livingstone with the aforementioned Overton back once again in third and Australian all-rounder Beau Webster completing a strong quartet.
In the women’s game, Hampshire’s Maia Bouchier leads the way on 145.12 MVP points with her teammate Georgia Adams in second. The Blaze’s Charli Knott occupies third position with fellow Australian Amanda-Jade Wellington adding yet another Hampshire name to the four nominees.
Men’s Player of the Month:
A multi-formatted month, June saw two rounds of the Rothesay County Championship with Nottinghamshire topping Division One and Durham leading the way in Division Two. The Vitality Blast continued as Notts Outlaws, Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Hampshire Hawks lead their respective groups.
Craig Overton (Somerset)
Overton continues to impress in 2026 with 12 wickets at 20.66 and 205 runs, averaging 34.16 in June.
April’s POTM winner secured a Match MVP in the County Championship against Warwickshire for figures of 2-44, five catches and a knock of 111 in a 233-run partnership with Thomas Rew. The 32-year-old also won a Match MVP in the Blast against Worcestershire, taking 1-22 and scoring 26 off 18 balls.
Liam Livingstone (Lancashire)
A phenomenal month for Livingstone saw him amass 351 runs at an average of 50.14, alongside taking 13 wickets at 19.92, including a five-fer in the County Championship.
The 32-year-old won three Match MVPs, the most impressive coming against Glamorgan for a 37-ball 81 which included eight sixes and impeccable figures of 3-13 to earn 66.98 MVP points – the most of any Match MVP in the Vitality Blast this season.
Dan Lawrence (Surrey)
Lawrence enjoyed a fabulous run-scoring month finishing with 441 runs in June at a super average of 110.25.
The 28-year-old Surrey all-rounder impressed in the County Championship securing a Match MVP against Hampshire for scoring 218 off 190 balls and then smashing a 64-ball ton in the second innings to secure 84.93 MVP points. He also earnt a Match MVP against Sussex in the Vitality Blast.
Beau Webster (Warwickshire)
The six-foot seven-inch Australian all-rounder scored 328 runs at an average of 54.66 alongside taking nine wickets in June.
The 32-year-old won a Match MVP award against Somerset and 42.60 MVP points in a game he’ll remember for a long time. Scoring his first T20 hundred, Webster smashed 112 off 61 balls hitting nine fours and seven sixes as Warwickshire chased down 215 to win by six wickets.
Women’s Player of the Month:
Meanwhile in the women’s game, Hampshire and The Blaze continue to impress in both the Vitality Blast and the Metro Bank One Day Cup tables with three rounds of the latter being completed in June.
Maia Bouchier (Hampshire)
An outstanding month from Bouchier saw her score 467 runs with a remarkable average 93.40.
The 27-year-old won four Match MVP awards with three in the Blast, the most impressive performance securing 39.30 MVP points for 87 off 55 balls against Essex. In the One Day Cup, Bouchier scored an unbeaten 136 off 114 balls in a 246-run partnership with Ella McCaughan in a 10-wicket victory against Essex.
Georgia Adams (Hampshire)
A brilliant all-round month from Adams saw her score 128 runs and take 14 wickets with a commanding average of 13.71.
The 32-year-old last won the PCA POTM in August 2023 and picked up a Match MVP award against Yorkshire in the Blast, earning 23.20 MVP points for her innings of 30 off 20 balls and figures of 2-20 off her four overs including a catch in a 42-run victory.
Charli Knott (The Blaze)
Knott impressed with bat and ball, scoring 117 runs and taking 11 wickets at just 14.63-a-piece.
The 23-year-old Australian won a Match MVP award against Essex for figures of 2-24 off her four overs and an unbeaten 54 off 35 balls with seven fours and a six in a nine-wicket win. The all-rounder also took 4-17 against Lancashire in a 15-run victory in the Blast.
Amanda-Jade Wellington (Hampshire)
Hampshire’s new recruit took 14 wickets in June at an impressive average of 15.85.
The 29-year-old Australian was unlucky not to win any Match MVP awards, largely due to the incredible performances from her teammates, but did pick up her third T20 five-fer with figures of 5-18 in a 55-run win over Essex in the Blast and took 2-38 and scored 42 in the One Day Cup against Warwickshire.

This then forms the rankings for each competition, as well as an overall table which is how the top four are selected. The MVP takes into account batting, bowling and fielding contributions and match defining achievements using a unique live algorithm developed by CricViz.
The PCA Player of the Month will be decided by a 50:50 split between the PCA MVP Rankings and the public vote on thepca.co.uk – the poll will close on Wednesday 1 July at 10pm.
