Club mourns the loss of Rex Roe
Somerset County Cricket Club is mourning the loss of long-time supporter and former Committee Member Rex Roe.
Mr Roe passed away after a short illness in Musgrove Park Hospital on January 17th at the age of 93.
He was a long-time supporter of Somerset and joined the Club’s Committee in 1997, where he served for just over 10 years before retiring in 2008. He was also a Member of the Management Committee for three years.
Mr Roe farmed at Rhode near Bridgwater and was a Member and Chair of the Bridgwater and Coastal Area Committee for a number of years.
The funeral service will be taking place at Taunton Crematorium on Monday February 12th at 10.40am.
