2026 Fixture Update
Somerset County Cricket Club can today announce a number of updates to the 2026 fixture list.
Somerset Men
PRE-SEASON
A three-day pre-season match against Glamorgan will be held at the Cooper Associates County Ground beginning on Friday March 27th.
NATIONAL COUNTY FIXTURES
Somerset will once again play two fixtures against our National County Partners in 2026
A T20 match against Devon will be played at Exmouth CC on Monday May 11th with a 50-over fixture against Cornwall scheduled for Friday July 3rd at Wadebridge CC.
Somerset CCC Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry outlines the importance of the fixtures. “The annual matches against our National County partners continue to be an important element of the domestic calendar,” he said. “The mutually beneficial relationships that we have with our National County Partners continue to go from strength to strength and these fixtures play an important role within these ongoing partnerships. We are extremely grateful to Exmouth CC and Wadebridge CC for hosting these matches.”
Regarding the National County fixtures, Nigel Mountford. Chief Executive of Devon County Cricket Club said: “Devon are delighted that Somerset have agreed to play us again this year. We are looking forward to the T20 fixture at Exmouth Cricket Club on Monday May 11th.
“We really enjoy being able to challenge ourselves against a strong Somerset XI. The match is also very useful to us as it precedes our National Counties T20 competition. Hopefully good weather will bring in another large crowd.”
Cornwall Cricket Team Manager, Godfrey Furse added. “The confirmation of the showcase game with Somerset on the 3rd of July at Wadebridge is terrific news. Over the last few years, we have had some really good competitive games with our friends from Somerset.
“It’s terrific for our young players to test themselves against one of the best white ball squads in the country. It’s also an opportunity for spectators young and old to see our lads compete against a professional outfit.”
Somerset Women
PRE-SEASON
Somerset will play a 50-over match against Hampshire at the Cooper Associates County Ground on Tuesday April 7th.
