2023 One-Day Cup Shirt Revealed
Somerset County Cricket Club in association with Kukri Sports have today launched our 2023 One-Day Cup shirt.
The design of the new shirt is based on a drone’s eye view of the batting crease, which continues the theme of the Vitality Blast batting design. Each geometric component of the crease is filled with a colour from an extended SCCC brand palette and is reminiscent of the work of Mondrian and the De Stijl movement.
The left-hand sleeve was deliberately made a striking yellow to represent some of the great left-handers who have represented the Club with such distinction in one-day competitions, such as Brian Rose (captained Somerset to five one-day trophies), Peter Denning (most appearances for SCCC in one-day cricket) and Marcus Trescothick (our leading one-day run scorer).
The shirt features the branding of chartered insurance broker Higos Insurance Services Ltd. on the front. Higos became an Official Partner of the Club in 2022 and after experiencing the tremendous benefits of aligning their brand with SCCC, 2023 has seen the organisation increase their involvement and their logo will adorn the front of our One-Day Cup kit for the next two seasons.
