Ahead of the game, Somerset Pathway Coach & Women and Girls Lead, Kieran Peters said: “After losing last week’s game to the weather, everyone’s really excited to be getting out there and playing some cricket. It’s been a long time coming and we’re looking forward to the start of the season.

“I’m really looking forward to this group showing us how they want to play their cricket.

“Everyone enjoys a local derby and the girls will certainly be ready to go and looking to express themselves on the field.”
