Tom Banton joined the Sixth Form at King’s College from Bromsgrove School in Birmingham. He made the move to help improve his game and halfway through his time at King’s, Tom joined the Somerset Academy. He excelled very early on with numerous top performances in the 2nd XI and had a huge amount of success with his cricket at King’s as well as becoming a top hockey player in the 1st team. Tom achieved excellent grades in the BTEC sport programme which was also important in assisting him with his cricket ambitions.

James Rew’s all-round sporting ability was recognised when he joined King’s Hall School where he excelled at hockey, golf, squash and cricket, and played a key part in helping the school win the English Schools Cricket Association Under 13 title. Whilst at King’s College, James joined the Somerset Academy at the age of 15, and this cricketing talent was nurtured and developed with the support of the King’s sports department.
